Fun at the State Fair!

Okay, Kari - these first three photos are especially for you. The fourth is a close-up, just for extra laughs.

Ava was an angel all night - as expected. She is too sweet for words.

Really. They still do these. Complete with a live mermaid and 'devil child'. Oh, we've come so far.

Jacob could not stand the noise from the ferris wheel as it clunked around and around.

After they braved the spinning tube of doom at the end of one of the many extremely dangerous (I'm not kidding) fun houses. Good thing I went through with them, little Jacob wouldn't have made it!

This pirate ride had a cardboard poster at the front of the line with a picture of two kids smiling under the balloon caption "It's really not scary!" Well. Wish ya'll could have seen these boys' faces as they emerged from 'Davy Jones' Locker.' Of course afterward all they could talk about was that ride. And that it really wasn't scary.

Oooooooo, so close, yet so little boys dream about these cars!

And this is how it all ended...

Can't wait for next year!

  1. Looks like it was a lot of fun. I wanted to go so badly, but never found the time. :(

  2. we missed the state fair this year and I'm's one of my favorite things to do every fall...looks like you gy had a fun time!

  3. LOL. No state fair is complete without an old lady tap dancer costume with extra ruffles. Lol. Oh boy why do fairs attract such spectacles?

  4. Well, I'm really behind at looking at people's blogs, but it looks like you had a lot of fun. I've never been to a fair. Maybe we'll take Kaiden next year. And the garden is gorgeous! We miss you guys. Can't wait for you to come in May.
